Gym Master Guru (website and Android app) is operated by Gym Master Guru. This policy covers both.

1. Data we collect

Email address (for login codes), profile details you enter (age, sex, height, weight, goal, training days, food preferences, allergies, medical notes), body photos you capture for analysis, workout and diet logs, and payment records (processed by Razorpay — we never see your card or UPI credentials).

2. Body photos

Photos are stored in a private bucket, are never public, and are used only to run your analysis. Photos may be sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate your analysis. You can permanently delete your account and all photos anytime from the Account page.

3. Health and fitness data (Health Connect & Apple Health)

If you choose to connect a wearable, the Android app reads the following from Android Health Connect, and the optional iPhone shortcut sends the equivalent from Apple Health: steps, active calories, total calories, distance, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep sessions, exercise sessions and body weight.

Why: each type is used to coach you and nothing else — measured calorie burn replaces an estimate in your diet targets, sleep, resting heart rate and HRV decide when your training is made lighter, and exercise sessions confirm the workouts you log.

Our commitments for this data: it is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never used to train or improve any machine-learning model. It is processed only to serve the account it came from. Connecting is entirely optional and the rest of the app works without it.

Deletion: disconnecting a device on the Devices screen immediately deletes every health record we hold from that source. Deleting your account removes all of it.

4. What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos or health data for marketing, for advertising, or for model training.

5. Cookies and device storage

The website uses a single session cookie for login and a preference cookie for theme/device checks. The app stores your session token and device sync token in the operating system's encrypted storage. No third-party ad trackers in either.

6. Data retention & deletion

Data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your photos, analyses, plans, logs, health records and profile immediately; payment records are retained as required by law. You can request deletion at any time from the Account page or by emailing us.

7. Not medical advice

Gym Master Guru is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Guidance is expert-style fitness coaching, not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting any new training or diet programme.

8. Contact & data requests

Raise anything — including a data deletion request — through our support page. It reaches a monitored inbox and we reply to the email you give us, normally within one working day. You can also delete your account and all of its data yourself, instantly, from the Account page.
